Clinical Lead - MRI Radiographer
Are you an experienced MRI Radiographer looking to take the next step in your leadership career? We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership across our Belfast and Omagh sites.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled imaging professional to play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while leading and developing high-performing teams. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with leadership capability to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of MRI and cross sectional diagnostic service.
Clinical Leadership
- Lead the safe, effective, and patient-centred delivery of MRI and Ultrasound services across Belfast and Omagh.
- Maintain and promote the highest standards of clinical imaging and personalised patient care.
- Act as an expert practitioner, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, professional standards, and clinical protocols.
- Ensure the safe operation and optimisation of MRI services, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions where required.
- Actively support Clinical Governance, Quality Assurance, and Audit programmes.
- Serve as a clinical expert and provide specialist advice, guidance, and training to colleagues.

Operational Management
- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practice standards.
- Coordinate resources effectively to ensure efficient daily service delivery.
- Monitor service performance and maintain accurate records to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, IR(ME)R regulations, and all company policies and procedures.
- Maximise scanner utilisation while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.
People Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and support imaging staff across both sites.
- Identify training and development opportunities to build capability within the team.
- Support recruitment, induction, onboarding, and mentoring of new staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development, learning, and service improvement.
- Champion staff wellbeing and engagement.
Essential:
- BSc Radiography, DCR(R) or equivalent.
- HCPC Registration.
- Minimum 4 years' MRI experience.
- Strong clinical expertise with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
- Experience influencing positive change and driving excellence within a clinical environment.
- Regular travel between the 2 sites will be required so a full clean drivers license is required

Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in MRI.
- Recognised Cannulation Course.
- Leadership qualification or management training.
- Cardiac MRI experience.
