Looking for your next step in veterinary leadership while staying closely connected to clinical work? Fair City & Crieff Vets are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a Clinical Lead role across our two sister practices, working on a 50/50 split between our Fair City and Crieff sites.

This is an exciting Elevate opportunity, designed for a vet who wants to make a real impact both clinically and within their teams, while continuing to enjoy a varied first opinion caseload. You'll have the opportunity to shape clinical standards, support colleagues and help both practices continue to develop, with the support of a wider veterinary group behind you.

Why Join Fair City & Crieff Vets?

Both practices combine the friendly, community feel of local veterinary clinics with the support, equipment and development opportunities of a larger veterinary group. As Clinical Lead, you'll work across both sites, building strong relationships with both teams and helping to create a consistent, collaborative approach to clinical care. Across the practices, you'll be supported by experienced veterinary and nursing teams, with a wide range of clinical interests and a strong focus on patient and client care.

Our facilities include:

  • Laparoscopic surgical equipment
  • Digital ultrasonography
  • IM3 dental radiography
  • In-house laboratory facilities
  • Digital radiography
  • Laser therapy equipment

You'll see a varied first opinion caseload across both practices, with plenty of opportunity to develop your own clinical interests alongside your leadership responsibilities.

What you'll be stepping into

As Clinical Lead, you'll play an important role in supporting the clinical direction of both practices while remaining an active member of the veterinary team. Your role will include:

  • Providing high-quality consultations and managing a varied medical and surgical caseload
  • Leading clinical standards across both practices, ensuring consistently high-quality care and alignment with RCVS and best-practice guidelines
  • Leading clinical governance initiatives, including audits, protocol development and continuous improvement
  • Acting as a clinical point of contact and providing second opinions and support with complex cases
  • Mentoring and supporting veterinary colleagues, encouraging CPD and clinical progression
  • Supporting colleagues with case discussions, clinical decision-making and development
  • Identifying opportunities to improve clinical processes, patient care and clinical outcomes
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous clinical development across both practices
  • Building strong relationships with the nursing, reception and support teams
  • Working closely with the Practice Managers and wider leadership team to support clinical strategy, performance and continuous improvement
  • Pursuing your own clinical interests and continuing to develop as a clinician and leader

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
