Role Overview
Are you an experienced oral surgeon with a commitment to delivering clinical care to the highest standards? Are you passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and scholarship and an exceptional student experience? Are you able to use your experience and skills to bring out the best in others and support their development? Are you looking to develop yourself?
We are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to further develop their skills in teaching and research in oral surgery and clinical and academic leadership. As a Clinical Lecturer or Clinical Associate Professor you will make a significant contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes, leading on specific aspects and providing hands-on clinical supervision for students and clinical trainees. You will also contribute to clinical quality improvement and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Commitment to teaching and scholarship that is forward-looking and reflects the needs of current students.
- Ability and willingness to contribute to research within the department in alignment with the research priorities of the School and the wider University.
- Commitment to your own development as well as the development of others within a team approach to deliver an exceptional student experience.
- Work as an Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as part of a consultant team contributing to the clinical oral surgery and acute dental care services with an emphasis on clinical teaching and high-quality patient outcomes and experience.
- Meeting the requirements of the Trust in terms of clinical governance and fulfilling the agreed job plan.
