About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing staff member to join the BICS Management Team as a Clinical Manager within our East Central Hub multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing Clinical Manager and take a lead role in the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) element of the team, working closely with the BICS MHST/TAS Service Manager.
This substantive post is currently being covered through a secondment and will become permanent when the secondment ends in January 2027. As part of the wider BICS Management Team, the post holder will work collaboratively across Child and Family Early Help Hubs, Children's Social Care and Early Years Parenting Hub teams, and will have the continued support of the wider BICS management team as.
You will have a proven track record in child and adolescent mental health, with sound knowledge and experience of cognitive behavioural therapies, systemic psychotherapies and/or other evidence-based interventions. You will also have a strong understanding of the role and functions of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), together with the experience and skills required to provide high-quality clinical supervision and line management.
Working in partnership with key stakeholders and partner agencies, you will bring creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm to the co-leadership of MHST provision across the borough. You will play a key role in multidisciplinary working, service development, evaluation and quality improvement, helping to ensure that children and young people in Barnet have access to integrated, responsive and accessible mental health and wellbeing services.

About You
We value and encourage your continuing professional development and will support you with experienced supervision from the Assistant Head of Service or BICS Service Manager, and peer support from Clinical Managers and other senior practitioners within BICS. We offer excellent specialist CPD and training opportunities and have established strong working relationships with colleagues across Barnet’s Family Service. In addition, you will have ample opportunities to work with partner agencies such as Barnet’s NHS Specialist CAMHS, schools and other community and voluntary services. We also have links with the London Clinical Psychology and Systemic Training Schemes.
Professional Membership/Qualification
Essential
- Post-graduate level qualification in relevant therapeutic modality.
- The post holder will have current UK professional registration where appropriate to their profession.
Desirable
- Advanced Supervision / Management qualification at graduate level and relevant to post as Clinical Manager. (Could include supervision and/or leadership training).
