Clinical Negligence Lawyer
Bristol
Salary up to £45,000
Are you a Clinical Negligence Lawyer or experienced case handler looking to develop your career within a specialist claimant team handling complex and high-value work? A well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its growing Clinical Negligence department. Working on behalf of claimants, you'll manage a varied caseload of litigated clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims, while benefiting from flexible hybrid working and strong career development opportunities.
This is what you will be doing
As a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-
- Managing your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from inception through to conclusion
- Handling litigated clinical negligence claims, including complex and higher-value cases
- Progressing claims both before and after issue
- Working closely with clients, barristers, medical experts, insurers, and defendant representatives
- Supporting and supervising colleagues within the team where required
- Working to case management standards, service levels, and performance targets
- Participating in team training, business development, and marketing initiatives
- Playing a key role in delivering exceptional client service and achieving positive outcomes for claimants

The experience you will bring to the team
You will bring the following experience to the Clinical Negligence team:-
- Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx, or experienced equivalent case handler
- Proven experience managing claimant clinical negligence and/or serious personal injury matters
- Strong background handling litigated cases
- Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and clinical negligence litigation
- Experience of working with Conditional Fee Agreements, Legal Expenses Insurance, and publicly funded matters would be advantageous
- Strong client care skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships
- Organised, proactive, and commercially aware approach to case management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
