Clinical Negligence Partner – Nottingham – Competitive Package

A well-established UK law firm with a strong reputation in defendant clinical negligence and healthcare litigation is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Partner to join its growing team in Nottingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established healthcare lawyer to join a respected specialist practice, advising a diverse client base across the healthcare sector on complex and high-value matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on an existing practice, develop long-standing client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth of the firm's healthcare offering.

The Role:

  • Advise NHS organisations, healthcare providers, insurers and medical organisations on complex clinical negligence matters
  • Manage a varied caseload of high-value and technically challenging defendant clinical negligence claims
  • Advise on complex healthcare disputes, investigations and related matters where appropriate
  • Work closely with clients to develop effective and commercially focused strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing healthcare clients
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and referral relationships
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across related litigation, regulatory and insurance practices
  • Support and develop junior lawyers within the team
  • Contribute to the strategic development and growth of the wider healthcare practice
  • Play an active role in the firm's business development and market profile

About You:

  • Established Clinical Negligence Partner / Legal Director / Senior Associate
  • Significant experience in defendant clinical negligence
  • A strong understanding of healthcare litigation and associated issues
  • Experience acting for NHS organisations, insurers, healthcare providers or medical professionals
  • A proven track record of managing complex and high-value claims
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills
  • An established network and/or demonstrable ability to develop new work
  • Excellent technical, drafting and advocacy skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
  • Leadership experience and the ability to support and develop junior colleagues
  • The ambition to play a key role in the continued growth of a specialist healthcare practice
