Clinical Negligence Solicitor - Birmingham - Up to £75,000 + benefits + bonus

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Birmingham practice as its Clinical Negligence department continues to expand. The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to strengthen its specialist team and contribute to high-quality claimant work.

You'll manage your own complex caseload while also supporting Partners on high-value matters, offering a strong mix of autonomy, development and exposure to technically challenging cases.

The Role:

  • Manage your own caseload of Clinical Negligence claims
  • Support Partners on complex pre-litigation and litigated matters
  • Investigate liability and assess medical evidence
  • Instruct medical experts and gather key reports
  • Draft Letters of Claim and other legal documentation
  • Assess quantum and manage settlement strategy
  • Work in line with CPR and Clinical Negligence Pre-Action Protocol
  • Deliver strong client care throughout all stages of the claim

About You:

  • Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive
  • Experience handling Clinical Negligence claims
  • Strong knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol
  • Good understanding of CPR and litigation process
  • Experience working to KPIs and targets
  • Experience training or supporting junior colleagues (desirable)
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
