The work will involve investigating claims, reviewing medical records and expert evidence, preparing correspondence and legal documents, liaising with medical experts and Counsel, and supporting matters through the pre-action process and litigation where required.

You will work on a range of interesting and complex claims, while building the technical knowledge and confidence needed to take increasing responsibility for your own caseload.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with up to approximately 5 years' PQE, although relevant experience will be considered alongside PQE. You will ideally have experience within claimant clinical negligence and a good understanding of the claims process. Strong analytical and drafting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines are essential. A sensitive and empathetic approach to client care is particularly important, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience of litigated claims, medical expert evidence, or cosmetic surgery negligence would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Most importantly, you will have a genuine interest in developing a specialist practice area and the enthusiasm to learn from an experienced practitioner.
