Clinical Negligence Solicitor

Location: Newport

Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

A new opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join an established claimant Clinical Negligence team in Newport. The role will involve technically demanding and sensitive work, requiring careful case analysis, excellent client care and a genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for injured clients.

The Role Will Involve

  • Manage or assist with a caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters of varying value and complexity.
  • Review medical records, identify key issues and work with medical experts and Counsel.
  • Draft correspondence, witness evidence, schedules and court documentation as required.
  • Advise clients on liability, causation, quantum, procedure and settlement strategy.
  • Maintain accurate files, meet procedural deadlines and provide consistently high standards of client care.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

  • Be a qualified solicitor or experienced legal professional with relevant claimant clinical negligence experience.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical ability and confidence working with detailed medical evidence.
  • Possess excellent written communication, organisation and file-management skills.
  • Approach vulnerable clients with empathy, patience and professionalism.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a specialist team.
