The Practice

The practice is a Legal 500 firm based in the North of England, known for righting wrongs in civil liberties, public inquiries, and clinical negligence claims.

About the Role

You will join a dedicated team of over 35 specialists handling the full spectrum of clinical negligence cases, from moderate to catastrophic injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters from instruction through to settlement.
  • Conduct investigations, draft witness statements, and liaise with medical experts and counsel.
  • Supervise or collaborate with paralegals and junior team members where appropriate.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, including outreach and business development.
  • Uphold the firm’s values of inclusion, care, and flexibility in your approach to clients and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (4 - 8 years PQE preferred).
  • Proven experience managing clinical negligence caseload independently.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client handling ability.
  • Desire to grow within a collaborative and progressive firm.
