Clinical Nursing Manager (Wards & Enhanced Care)

KIMS Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nursing Manager to provide operational, professional, and clinical leadership across our inpatient wards and enhanced care services.

Reporting to the Chief Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and outstanding patient care while leading and developing multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional clinical and patient experience outcomes. Based at KIMS Hospital in Maidstone, this is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to contribute to the ongoing success and development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operational management of the inpatient wards and enhanced care, ensuring safe staffing levels, patient flow, and effective resource utilisation.
  • Provide visible clinical leadership, coaching, and performance management to ward and department leads, promoting a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical governance, regulatory, quality, and patient safety requirements, including CQC standards and hospital policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Consultants, the Matron, and wider hospital teams to develop seamless patient pathways and enhance patient experience.
  • Support strategic service development, change management initiatives, and the delivery of KIMS Hospital's clinical strategy.

Who We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • Be a Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing and current professional registration.
  • Have extensive senior nursing experience within an acute hospital environment, including a minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in surgical and medical nursing.
  • Have proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams, resources, budgets, and operational performance effectively.

Desirable Criteria

  • Hold a management qualification and/or have leadership training.
  • Have experience working within an independent healthcare setting and leading change management initiatives.
