Clinical Nurse Specialist – St Helens, Merseyside
Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE + bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, no shifts, nights, weekends or on-call
Apollo Home Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to support adults and children with complex care needs in their own homes. This role offers a strong work-life balance and the opportunity to use your clinical expertise to shape safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role:
You will manage a complex care caseload across Merseyside, combining office-based responsibilities with community visits. Key duties include:
- Complex caseload management including occasional paediatric packages
- Bespoke care planning and ongoing clinical reviews
- Training and competency assessment for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers
- Quality and compliance oversight aligned with national standards
- Reviewing MAR charts and clinical documentation
- Building effective relationships with clients, families, and MDTs

Skills & Experience:
We are seeking nurses with experience in:
- Airway management including tracheostomy care
- Ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive)
- Enteral feeding via PEG / JEJ / NG
Experience with spinal injuries, ABI, or neurological conditions is beneficial but not essential.

Requirements:
- Valid NMC Pin with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong clinical judgement and ability to prioritise
