As part of our forward-thinking Hand Outpatient Team, you’ll expand your clinical knowledge in hands and plastics, develop advanced assessment and treatment skills, and contribute directly to high-quality patient care. This role also includes rotation into the Hand Trauma Coordination position — a pivotal responsibility that helps us optimise both outpatient flow and theatre capacity.

In This Role, You Will
- Lead nurse-led clinics — independently reviewing, planning, treating, and safely discharging patients with a wide range of hand injuries and conditions.
- Work collaboratively across the Hand Unit — complementing and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, high-quality care.
- Ensure smooth, efficient clinic flow — helping to maintain a well-organised, patient-centred outpatient environment.
- Apply specialist expertise in wound care — including plastics post-operative reviews, to manage complex wounds confidently and effectively.
- Coordinate staffing, clinic activity, and theatre bookings — playing a key part in maximising service efficiency. This operational leadership responsibility is undertaken on a rotational basis.
