🌟 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Allergy

Part-Time Employment | Three Days Per Week | Hybrid Working | One Saturday Per Month | Central London (W1)

At Children’s Allergy Doctors, we are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology to join our friendly specialist team. This is a part-time, three-day-per-week hybrid role, including one Saturday per month in our Central London clinic.

We are a leading private paediatric allergy practice, combining clinical excellence with a warm, family-centred approach. We help children and young people with allergies, eczema, asthma, and related conditions receive the expert care and support they need to thrive.

🌈 What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside our consultant-led multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding specialist care to children and families.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and delivering specialist paediatric allergy clinics
  • Providing expert nursing care throughout clinic sessions
  • Performing allergy investigations and diagnostic testing
  • Carrying out specialist allergy procedures, including:
    • Skin prick testing
    • Spirometry and reversibility testing
    • Exhaled nitric oxide testing
    • Patch testing
    • Supervised feeds
    • Food Oral Immunotherapy (OIT)
    • Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) for aeroallergens and food allergies
  • Responding to queries from patients and families following appointments
  • Completing allocated clinical and administrative tasks
  • Preparing clinics, including patient documentation, forms, labels, information leaflets, and clinical notes
  • Supporting the smooth running of the service and helping to create an exceptional patient experience

⭐ What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines clinical expertise with warmth, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children and families. You will ideally have:

  • Current NMC registration
  • Significant experience as a paediatric nurse
  • Experience in paediatric allergy
  • Experience supporting children with allergic conditions and eczema
  • Confidence in performing allergy investigations and procedures, or transferable skills and a willingness to develop specialist expertise
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and families
  • A calm, organised, and proactive approach
  • The ability to work independently while remaining a valued member of a close-knit team
  • A positive and flexible approach, with a willingness to contribute wherever needed
