Company Description
The Family Psychologist Ltd is a Clinical Psychology and Assessment Service supporting the behavioral, emotional, and social development of children, young people from birth through to 18 years old and into the workplace. Led by Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist Dr. Rachel McMorrow, the service draws on over 20 years of experience in health and education. The team provides tailored assessments and interventions for families and professionals, including educational assessments, dyslexia testing, and cognitive profiling. They also offer early years support for common developmental concerns, behavioral and emotional interventions in home and school settings, and assessments and diagnoses for ASC/ADHD and speech and language needs.
Role Description
The ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist will work full time on-site in Kidderminster, collaborating closely with the ADHD Divisional lead and clinical psychologists and other professionals to support children, young people, and families. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting clinical assessments
- Planning and delivering evidence-based interventions
- Contributing to multidisciplinary care plans for individuals with behavioral, emotional, developmental, and neurodiverse needs

The role also involves participating in service development, audit, and training activities, while maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge and registration.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with advanced clinical training, ideally as an ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist, and current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families in mental health, neurodevelopmental, or community-based settings.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out comprehensive clinical assessments and contribute to diagnostic formulations for behavioral, emotional, and developmental difficulties.
- Skills in delivering evidence-based psychological and behavioral interventions, including care planning, risk assessment, and crisis management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams, including report writing and record keeping.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation, and best practice in child and family services.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a varied caseload, and adapt to changing service needs in a specialist environment.
- Desirable: Experience within neurodevelopmental services (e.g., ASC/ADHD), and familiarity with educational settings and assessments.
