Opportunity to Join Our Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist Team
An opportunity has arisen to join our diabetes clinical nurse specialist team. The post holder will work as part of the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, Specialist Diabetes Nursing Team.
This is an opportunity to work as a member of a specialist multidisciplinary team comprising consultants, nurses, dietitians, and support staff to develop an innovative integrated service.
About the Opportunity
An opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist has become available to join the Diabetes & Endocrinology Team at the University Hospitals of Derby & Burton (UHDB). We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who wishes to become part of a successful team working across Derby and East Staffordshire.
The role includes working across the different services the Diabetes Specialist Nurses cover. The service covers:
- Community clinics at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and the Diabetes Centre at Queens Hospital Burton
- Broader community
- Inpatient reviews on both sites
- Foot clinic at the Royal Derby Hospital
- Insulin pump clinic
- Antenatal clinic
- Renal clinic
It is an opportunity to develop your interest in diabetes and support a growing team of Nurse Specialists. An interest in diabetes is essential. We will support you with learning needs to become a specialist diabetes nurse. You will spend time in each specialist areas within our team developing knowledge and expertise in these areas within diabetes. All these skills you will be able to take forward with you in the future.
