About the Role

We are excited to be able to offer an opportunity to join the Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist Team at ESNEFT in our Haematology service.

We are a dynamic team of nurses that strive to deliver high standards of specialist care for Haematology. We have a wealth of experience in the team to support you and we will welcome your skills and experience. Your development is also important so there are opportunities for your continued professional development.

The role will be based at Ipswich Hospital, however cross site working to Colchester Hospital will be required.

Provide a comprehensive service for patients with Red Cell diseases. You will provide expert care, advice and support to patients receiving treatment on an in-patient and out-patient basis and to their families and as a resource to other staff. This roles includes clinical duties, the development and leadership of nurse-led clinics to provide for the needs of the patients and their families. You will also work closely and support the Oncology/Haematology day unit manager. The haematology clinical nurse specialist sits within the wider nurse specialist team and you will be expected to provide cross cover across the wider Haematology specialties. You will maintain an up to date knowledge base and will be expected to facilitate the professional development of nurses within the Division.
