Clinical Operations Lead
Full-time Permanent Position
Location: London, Hybrid with 2-3 days a week on site
Salary: £110,000-£140,000 base salary, with bonus and benefits available
About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Operations leader to join an innovative and rapidly growing biotechnology company developing novel therapies for patients with serious diseases. This highly visible, hands-on role will lead the delivery of complex global clinical programmes while helping to shape operational strategy, process development, evidence generation and future organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, start-up and execution of global clinical studies, including country, site and vendor selection.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of quality systems, clinical processes and study documentation.
- Oversee CROs, vendors and study teams, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, quality standards and operational objectives.
- Drive site engagement, patient recruitment, data quality, safety reporting and inspection readiness activities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovative approaches to improve study delivery and operational efficiency.
- Support evidence-generation activities to underpin regulatory, market access and commercial objectives.
- Develop clear reporting structures and operational dashboards to provide visibility of programme progress, risks and key milestones.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic clinical development activities.

Experience Required

- 10+ years' experience in clinical operations, clinical programme management or clinical development operations within biotechnology, pharmaceutical or CRO environments.
- Proven experience leading complex regional or global clinical studies.
- Strong track record managing CROs, vendors, budgets, timelines, quality and risk.
- Sound knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical trial regulations, patient safety and data integrity requirements.
- Experience establishing and improving clinical processes and operational frameworks.
- Hands-on, adaptable and collaborative approach, with experience working in fast-paced and evolving environments.
