Role Description

Clinical Pathologist | VPG, part of Zoetis
📍 Remote or Hybrid | Full-time

VPG is part of Zoetis, the world’s leading animal health company. We are looking for a Board Certified Clinical Pathologist to join our Pathology team and help us deliver a market-leading diagnostic service to our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist who wants to combine high-quality clinical pathology with client education, collaboration, research, and service development.

About the Role

As a Clinical Pathologist, you will work closely with the Head of Clinical Pathology and Associate Director of Pathology (UK & Ireland), providing expert interpretation and reporting across a broad range of laboratory submissions.

You will:

  • Ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely reporting and interpretation of laboratory submissions, including cytology, haematology, biochemistry, serology, and microbiology.
  • Provide Point of Care diagnostic support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Pathologist group and VPG.
  • Interact with laboratory teams and support day-to-day diagnostic operations.
  • Respond to telephone calls, emails, and other client or laboratory enquiries promptly, professionally, and clearly.
  • Develop a strong understanding of VPG's client-facing portal, internal LIMS, request codes, and expected turnaround times.
  • Contribute to client education, business development, marketing, projects, and internal/external research that enhance our pathology service.
  • Attend regular Pathologist, laboratory, and VPG meetings.
  • Maintain and role-model VPG's values and behaviours.
  • Complete all statutory, mandatory, and essential training within the required timeframes and maintain ongoing competency.
  • Maintain professional standards through continued professional development (CPD), supporting MRCVS, Board Certified, and Specialist status.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
