Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for a career change or your next challenge in an acute hospital trust?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our modern purpose-built facilities at the Colchester hospital site. This would also be a perfect opportunity for a pharmacy technician who is looking to make the next step up in their career. We would welcome both full and part-time applicants for this post.

The Dame Clare Marx Building houses our new elective orthopaedic centre and opened in November 2024. This exciting consolidation of service has realised wider investment and allowed the development of this new specialist Pharmacy Technician position. You will be pivotal in establishing and developing our service within this new development.

Our friendly pharmacy team are dedicated to nurturing, mentoring and developing our staff to reach their full potential. We provide pharmacy forums, tutorials and weekly ICS/ESNEFT delivered educational workshops. We support personal development plans, smart objective setting and opportunities for study.

ESNEFT has recently gone live with a full site wide implementation of the EPIC electronic patient record which includes electronic prescribing and administration and pharmacy stock control system replacement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
