My Atlas is looking for an experienced, confident and personable Phlebotomist to join our growing clinical team at Atlas HQ in Wilmslow.

We are a private healthcare provider specialising in advanced blood testing, preventative health, hormone health, fitness and performance, longevity and specialist diagnostics.

Our clients range from individuals simply wanting to understand their health better, through to athletes, bodybuilders, individuals undergoing TRT or HRT, and clients working proactively on their long-term health.

We are therefore looking for somebody who is not only technically excellent at taking blood, but who genuinely enjoys working within the private health and wellness space.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a professional, safe and welcoming blood collection experience for clients attending Atlas HQ.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Performing venous blood draws confidently and safely
  • Working with a wide range of blood collection tubes and testing requirements
  • Correctly identifying, labelling and preparing samples for pathology
  • Completing accurate clinical documentation
  • Following infection prevention, clinical governance and health & safety procedures
  • Supporting clients who may be nervous or anxious around blood collection
  • Working alongside our clinical, administrative and medical team
  • Maintaining the high standard of client experience expected within My Atlas

The Person We're Looking For

You should have previous practical phlebotomy experience and be comfortable carrying out venepuncture independently. We are open to training the correct candidate in phlebotomy in a private healthcare setting if suitable for the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have experience or a genuine interest in areas including:

Fitness & Performance

  • Sports health, bodybuilding, athletic performance or working with physically active clients.

TRT & Men's Health

  • An understanding of testosterone replacement therapy, hormone monitoring and the type of regular blood testing undertaken within men's health.

HRT & Women's Health

  • Familiarity with hormone replacement therapy, female hormone health and menopause-related monitoring.

Longevity & Preventative Health

  • An interest in cardiovascular risk, metabolic health, biomarkers, preventative healthcare and proactive health optimisation.

Advanced Diagnostics

  • Experience within private healthcare, pathology, functional medicine, wellness clinics or specialist diagnostic testing would be particularly valuable.

You do not need to be an expert in every area above.

Clinical training and support will be provided where appropriate, but an interest in understanding why our clients are testing - rather than simply collecting the sample - is important to us.

Essential

  • Previous phlebotomy experience
  • Competent and confident venepuncture technique
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and reassuring manner
  • Understanding of confidentiality and patient data
  • Ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider clinical team
  • Commitment to safe clinical practice and infection prevention
