About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Physiologist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.


Duties Of This Role Include

  • The Senior Clinical Neurophysiologist will play a key role in delivering high-quality neurophysiological diagnostic services at The Alexandra Hospital.
  • Working within a specialist team, the post holder will independently perform and interpret a range of neurophysiological investigations, supporting the diagnosis and management of central and peripheral nervous system disorders.
  • Provide neurophysiology services across outpatient and inpatient settings, including ICU and paediatrics.
  • Support consultant neurophysiologists in diagnostic interpretation and reporting.
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physiologists and bank staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection and clinical governance standards.

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in clinical neurophysiology
  • Proficiency in EEG, NCS, and Evoked Potentials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and safeguarding
  • Experience in Paediatric neurophysiology
