An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North Community nursing team as a clinical practice Teacher.

The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day clinical management of the team and will liaise and work with the Clinical Team Leader to ensure an integrated and organised approach to safe effective patient care delivery and operational service delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver practice education for pre-registration and post-registration learners
  • Assess patients with complex or long-term needs and develop evidence-based care plans
  • Manage a community caseload, prioritising care and delegating work safely
  • Lead clinical supervision and support colleagues to build skills and confidence
  • Work with health, care and university partners to improve learning and patient services

Some experience of direct line management, supervision and HR policies and procedures would be advantageous.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered General Nurse with a relevant community nursing teaching or practice educator qualification
  • Practice Assessor or mentorship qualification and Community Nurse Prescriber V150, or willingness to work towards it
  • Experience of practice education, clinical leadership, team supervision and caseload management
  • Clear communication, coaching and organisational skills
  • Confidence using electronic patient records and digital learning tools

The post holder will work full time (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday although condensed working hours will be considered.
