Salary: £55,000 - £76,000 depending on experience

Supporting an innovative provider of neurodiversity and mental health services, for children, young people and families. Committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
Play a key role in delivering psychological assessments, therapeutic support and clinical input for children and young people presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural and developmental needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, while working within a supportive, forward-thinking multidisciplinary team.

Role Duties
Psychological Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents and young adults presenting with emotional, behavioural or developmental difficulties.
- Complete Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and relevant outcome measures to support clinical decision-making.
- Administer, score and interpret ADOS assessments for individuals where Autism Spectrum Disorder is suspected.
- Utilise a range of evidence-based assessment tools to evaluate presentations including trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression and behavioural challenges.

Clinical Formulation and Intervention
- Work alongside the multidisciplinary team to contribute to diagnostic assessments and formulation.
- Develop personalised, trauma-informed treatment plans tailored to the needs of individual clients.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions focused on trauma, attachment, emotional wellbeing and behavioural development.
- Support families and carers to understand and implement strategies that promote positive outcomes and emotional stability.
Trauma-Informed Practice
- Apply trauma-informed principles throughout all aspects of clinical work.
- Provide education and support to families regarding the impact of trauma and attachment experiences on development and mental health.
- Promote a compassionate, person-centred and non-judgemental approach to care.
Supervision and Professional Leadership
- Provide clinical support, supervision and mentorship to trainees, junior clinicians and other team members where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current research, best practice and emerging developments within child and adolescent psychology, trauma and attachment.

Key Skills
- Strong assessment, formulation and report-writing skills.
- Experience administering and interpreting psychological assessment tools, including ADOS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, young people, families and professionals.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team.
- High levels of empathy, emotional intelligence and active listening skills.
Person Specification
Essential
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with children and young people within a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and attachment-based approaches.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, families and professional stakeholders.
Desirable
- Additional training or qualifications in Trauma Therapy.
- Experience supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Previous experience providing clinical supervision, mentoring or leadership support within a clinical environment.
- Knowledge of current research and best practice relating to child development, trauma and attachment.
