Clinical Psychologist - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to become a key member of our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties, including neurodevelopmental conditions.
The post holder works collaboratively with families, schools, social care, health professionals, and partner agencies to support effective treatment planning, risk management, and positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing clinical supervision, training, and support to qualified and trainee staff.
- Contributing to the development and governance of psychological services.
- Participating in service evaluation, audit, and research activities.
- Supporting continuous improvement of CAMHS through evidence-based practice and service development initiatives.
- Providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention.
- Direct therapeutic work with children, young people, and families.
- Consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Clinical supervision and training of qualified and trainee staff.
- Risk assessment and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Service development, audit, evaluation, and research.
- Contribution to psychologically informed care across CAMHS and partner organizations.
