Concise Medico
Concise Medico is an experienced provider of expert witness reports, with over 10 years of experience in the medico-legal field. We are expanding our Medico-Legal Expert Witness Partnership and are looking for experienced Clinical Psychologists who want to build a private medico-legal practice alongside their existing NHS or clinical work.
We provide case coordination, administration, business development and access to solicitor and medico-legal agency networks, so you can focus on assessments and report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments for medico-legal cases.
- Review clinical, medical and case records.
- Assess the psychological impact of personal injury, trauma, road traffic accidents and workplace injuries.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based medico-legal reports.
- Provide professional opinions on treatment, rehabilitation and prognosis where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Follow relevant clinical, ethical and medico-legal standards, including the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
- Communicate with solicitors, medico-legal agencies and other stakeholders.
- Complete assessments and reports within agreed timelines.

Concise Medico Ltd will be responsible for all costs associated with setting up clinics, including, but not limited to, venue costs, administration, medical secretary support, report writing, and client management and booking.

Requirements
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Appropriate professional registration.
- Relevant clinical experience in psychological assessment and formulation.
- Strong clinical or medico-legal report-writing skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide objective, evidence-based opinions.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, ethics and professional standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage cases effectively.

Preferred but not essential:
- Medico-legal or expert witness experience.
- Experience with personal injury, trauma or rehabilitation cases.
- Familiarity with UK medico-legal processes and the CPR.
- Experience working with solicitors, medico-legal agencies or insurers.
- NHS or equivalent clinical experience.
Flexible Working & Earning Potential
The role can be arranged around your existing clinical commitments. You can build your medico-legal practice gradually while continuing your NHS or other clinical work.
Depending on availability, case volume and clinic arrangements, the established model is designed to enable Clinical Psychologists to earn approximately £500–£1,000 per clinic day, while also saving a further £500–£1,000 in operational costs by eliminating the need to invest in and manage their own clinic infrastructure and operations.
