About the Role
We are excited to offer this unique opportunity to work across community stroke and neurorehabilitation team (CSNRT) and outpatient traumatic brain injury (TBI). This is a band 7/ 8a post and we would welcome applications from clinical psychologists with an interest in neuropsychology.
The role is made up of two parts:

We would recruit at band 8a only if the candidate has completed and passed one academic year of the PGDip in Clinical Neuropsychology. Please note that whilst NHSE funding has been available in recent years, this is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities
This is a varied and interesting role for a diverse population, and within a supportive MDT and neuropsychology service. You will need to work autonomously and organise your workload, take initiative and cope with competing demands. You will be well-supported to do this by Clinical Neuropsychologists within the Trust and senior practitioners in the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
