An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a passion for using data to identify and make improvements and great interpersonal skills to apply for a 12-month fixed term/secondment for the position of Quality and Improvement Officer for the Medicine Group at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.
The post-holder will work closely with clinical colleagues within the Medicine group. They will support with facilitation of multiple quality aspects with the clinical teams including clinical audits, guidelines, incidents, risks, complaints, and mortality reviews. They will also support with data analysis and data quality, create reports, and present data to specialty committees.

Secondment will be considered for internal candidates – If you are successful after interview, you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.
The post-holder will work closely and in collaboration with clinical, operational, and administrative colleagues within the Medicine group to support the delivery of key performance indicators and provide high-quality service and administrative support including information, analysis, and report writing.

They will also act as a central point of contact for Quality and Governance within the Medicine group, resolving queries and ensuring reported KPIs are met. To identify issues and root causes in collaboration with the specialties to develop new standard practices.
