Department: Corporate Services

Location: Remote

Compensation: £28,560 / year

Description

Priory are looking to recruit a Research Associate to support clinical research across our Healthcare services in a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 37.5 hours per week.

This is a fully remote role, worked from home with occasional visits to Priory sites and our headquarters as required. Appropriate IT equipment, including a laptop, will be provided to support your remote working.

This is an opportunity to contribute to research that helps improve our understanding of patient needs, strengthen clinical risk assessment and evaluate recovery outcomes. Working under the direction of our lead researchers, you will help turn research findings into practical improvements in mental healthcare.

What you'll be doing

You will support the development and delivery of several research projects, including the Priory Acuity Tool, Listening Beyond Words (Peak Profiling), validation of our multidisciplinary risk assessment tools, and Recovery360 outcomes research.

Working closely with researchers and clinical teams across Priory, you will contribute to research design, coordinate project activity, collect and analyse data, and communicate findings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting literature reviews and database searches to inform research projects.
  • Supporting the development of research frameworks and study designs.
  • Collecting, analysing and presenting qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Liaising with Priory hospital sites and multidisciplinary teams to support research participation and engagement.
  • Preparing reports and presenting findings to lead researchers and the Priory Research Committee.
  • Contributing to papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supporting the application of research findings within clinical services.
  • Managing your workload and project resources to meet agreed deadlines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
