Clinical Research Co-Ordinator - pre-clinical

Scientific Project Co-ordinator (Preclinical CPSS)

We are seeking a proactive Scientific Project Co-ordinator to support the planning, outsourcing, and delivery of preclinical CPSS activities within drug development programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with scientific project management experience who enjoys working across cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the outsourcing and delivery of preclinical CPSS project activities.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and interpretation of cross-functional project plans.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and project deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support the management of external vendors and outsourced activities.
  • Provide guidance on project management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify and help resolve day-to-day project challenges and risks.
  • Communicate new processes, procedures, and strategies to project teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance project delivery, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Experience in Scientific Project Management.
  • Experience supporting pre-clinical drug development projects and activities.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of scientific project management principles, including project planning, resource management, and risk management.

Desirable Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research environment.
  • Experience in project co-ordination, project management, or change management.
  • Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
  • Broad understanding of scientific project management and drug development processes.
