Cardiology Clinical Research Fellow Posts

City St George’s, University of London is seeking applicants for two cardiology clinical research fellow posts. The successful candidates will be supported by research fellow grants sponsored by the charitable organisation Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and Azienda Sanitaria Giuliano-Isontina (ASUGI). These posts offer the opportunity to conduct exciting research projects in order to gain a higher research degree (MDres or PhD).

About the Role

The successful applicants will undertake research, under the supervision of Dr Gherardo Finocchiaro, Prof Sanjay Sharma, and Prof Michael Papadakis in inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology, and cardiac screening. You will also support the CRY screening services, as well as receive clinical training in inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology, and cardiac imaging.

  • Conduct research in inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology, and cardiac screening.
  • Support CRY screening services.
  • Receive clinical training in inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology, and cardiac imaging.

Requirements

  • Clinically qualified with ALS and MRCP.
  • Ideally have a specialty interest in imaging and arrhythmias.
  • Experience of working with families with inherited cardiac conditions.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, but also be flexible and a good team member.
