Clinical Research Fellow Opportunity at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board
We are looking for a Clinical Research Fellow to join our dedicated team within the Clinical Research Facility.
Role Overview
The successful applicant would be expected to fulfill the obligations of the Clinical Research Facility rota, which includes:
- Responsibility for the care of patients attending the facility
- Identification, screening, consent, and recruitment of patients to studies
- Pre-treatment assessment and eligibility confirmation
- Supervision of first-dose and early-phase treatment visits
- Protocol-mandated sampling
- Adverse event assessment and reporting
- Ongoing safety follow-up
- Administrative duties associated with the care of these patients
- Occasional out-of-hours working in the CRF if patients require overnight or long outpatient stays as part of the research study
When not allocated to the CRF rota, the successful candidate will be working on the HCRW (Health Care Research Wales) funded Pelvic Power Partnership, led by supervisor Professor Julie Cornish. This is an extensive and innovative programme of work that focuses on engagement with underrepresented communities regarding pelvic health care. The successful candidate will be working with an extensive MDT team, including community groups, to deliver and evaluate high-quality education and workshops. This will include qualitative data collection and analysis.
