Salary: £51,931 per annum
Reporting to: Professor Nick James and Dr Hoda Abdel-Aty
Duration of Contract: Fixed Term for 24 months in the first instance
Hours per week: 40 hours per week (Full Time). Less than Full time (LTFT) may be considered.
Location: Sutton and Chelsea (Cross-site)

Role Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow in Urological Cancer (STAMPEDE2 Trial Comparison P) within the Prostate and Bladder Cancer Research Team at The Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will contribute to the development and delivery of clinical and translational research within STAMPEDE2, with a particular focus on Comparison P, evaluating PSMA-targeted radioligand therapy in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and delivery of clinical and translational research within STAMPEDE2.
- Focus on Comparison P, evaluating PSMA-targeted radioligand therapy in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
- Undertake a research project leading to an MD(Res) or PhD.
- Receive training and experience in clinical trial development and conduct, radioligand therapy, advanced imaging, and translational research.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams at the ICR, Royal Marsden, UCL, and other national and international centres.
- Gain experience in data analysis, presentation of research at national and international meetings, and preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.

Essential Criteria
- Full registration with the General Medical Council and MRCP or equivalent.
- At least two years of oncology training in a recognised UK or overseas centre.
- A good understanding of the principles of clinical management of malignancy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Department/Directorate Information
The Prostate and Bladder Cancer Research Team, within the ICR Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging, has a strong track record in the design and delivery of large-scale clinical trials in prostate and bladder cancer. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary uro-oncology research group working across the ICR and Royal Marsden in Sutton and Chelsea and will work closely with the STAMPEDE and STAMPEDE2 teams at the Innovative Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. The post will provide extensive exposure to academic clinical trial development, advanced imaging, translational research, and emerging prostate cancer treatments, including PSMA radioligand therapy and stereotactic radiotherapy.
