Your Mission
The Clinical Research Key Account Manager will provide dedicated ownership of Bedfont's strategically important research partnerships. The role is responsible for relationship management, customer retention, revenue growth and cross-functional coordination. It will support the delivery of the Key Account Programme and establish a scalable account management framework for CRO, pharmaceutical and clinical trial partners as the Research Division continues to grow.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own and develop relationships with Bedfont’s strategically important research customers and partners.
- Maintain regular, proactive communication with key contacts and build a clear understanding of account priorities and requirements.
- Protect existing revenue by monitoring customer satisfaction, identifying account risks and coordinating timely action.
- Identify and progress opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop long-term partnerships.
- Support the implementation and continued development of the Key Account Programme.
- Coordinate activity across Research, Sales, Customer Support, Operations and other relevant teams to ensure effective delivery for key accounts.
- Maintain clear account plans, actions and records, providing visibility of risks, opportunities and progress.
- Support CRO, pharmaceutical and clinical trial platform partners throughout the customer relationship.
- Provide account updates and commercial insight to the Clinical Research Partnerships Manager.
- Contribute to a consistent and scalable approach to strategic account management as the Research Division grows.

Qualifications
- Relevant experience in key account management, strategic customer relationship management, business development or a comparable customer-facing role.
- Demonstrable experience of managing important customer or partner relationships and coordinating activity across internal teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to protect existing revenue and identify sustainable growth opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with customers and internal stakeholders at different levels.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise, maintain accurate records and follow actions through to completion.

Preferred Skills
- Experience within healthcare, medical devices, clinical research, pharmaceuticals or a related regulated environment.
- Experience working with CROs, pharmaceutical organisations or clinical trial partners.
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts or partnership programmes.
- Experience developing account plans and monitoring account performance.
- Knowledge of the clinical research, research services or medical device sectors.
In addition, employees may be required to undertake other duties as may reasonably be required of them. In these circumstances, training will be given where it is considered appropriate.
