We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed nurse to join the Imperial Clinical Respiratory Research Unit (ICRRU), supporting a diverse and expanding portfolio of clinical research studies.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their nursing career within the dynamic field of respiratory research. Responsibilities
- Work within a specialist team delivering research across a broad range of respiratory conditions, including Asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease, and pleural disease.
- The portfolio includes both commercial and academic studies, encompassing observational and complex interventional trials.
- Work closely with a supportive and experienced team of Principal Investigators and multidisciplinary clinical teams, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care within a research setting.
- To facilitate efficient, safe, and participant-focused research.
- To contribute to the management of the local portfolio of clinical research studies.
- Advises staff and researchers, acting as a knowledgeable resource on matters relating to clinical practice and research, promoting an active and effective research culture.
- To co-ordinate the care of your own caseload of clinical research study participants.
- To contribute to the development of research protocols.
- To assist in the process of gaining local regulatory committee approval (ethics and R&D approval).
- Continue your own professional development, keeping updated with current practice.
- To assist in the education and support of healthcare professionals to enable them to care for clinical research study patients/participants.
- Coordinate own portfolio of clinical studies.
