Freelance Study Nurse – London, UK – Haematology Study
Upsilon Global is seeking freelance Study Nurses in London, UK to support a Haematology clinical study. The study will involve conducting scheduled home visits, with participants identified following presentation to A&E. Due to the unpredictable nature of enrolment, nurses will be onboarded in advance and should be comfortable with periods of limited activity followed by potential short-notice home visits.

Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled home visits according to the study protocol.
- Perform vital signs assessments.
- Conduct Adverse Event (AE) assessments.
- Review Concomitant Medications (ConMed).
- Perform AKI/ACS/Stroke assessments.
- Collect laboratory samples.
- Support questionnaire completion.
- Complete study-related documentation and ensure accurate reporting of visit activities.
- Communicate with the study team regarding participant visits and any issues identified.
- Be available to support visits at short notice following participant enrolment.

Education and Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience.
- Previous clinical research/study nurse experience.
- Experience conducting home visits is highly desirable.
- Experience with blood/laboratory sample collection.
- Good understanding of ICH/GCP and clinical research requirements.
- Experience working with adolescent or paediatric participants is advantageous.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Based in London or able to travel across the London area.
- Flexible availability due to the unpredictable nature of participant enrolment.
- Comfortable supporting home visits with limited notice.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Full driving licence is advantageous where travel requirements apply.

Visit Schedule:
- Days 3, 4 & 5 – no visit window
- Day 8 – ±1 day
- Day 15 – ±2 days
Due to the nature of the study, participant locations are currently unknown and will only become available once patients are enrolled following presentation to A&E. We are therefore pre-identifying and onboarding nurses in advance to ensure coverage when participants are enrolled.
