Accellacare is a global clinical trial services organization supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. The company operates a large number of active research sites across the globe, covering a broad range of therapeutic areas.

Clinical Research Physician – Accellacare South London (ONSITE), based in Orpington, London, UK

Permanent full-time contract (part-time is possible for candidates in the UK GMC Specialist register).

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Working as a Principal Investigator or a Sub Investigator on Accellacare clinical trials at our site in Orpington, London, UK
  • Occasionally support the other Accellacare UK research sites
  • Comply with ICH/GCP standards and UK clinical trials regulation
  • Interview, screen, enroll, and monitor the clinical trial participants
  • Provide medical care for the clinical trial participants
  • Perform study-specific tasks (clinical examination and evaluations, review of blood test results, X-rays results, etc.)
  • Ensure that the clinical trials participants' safety and wellbeing are protected at all times
  • Ensure excellent standards of patient safety and quality of the service
  • Record Adverse events/Serious Adverse events
  • Ensure that Good Documentation Practice is followed at all times
  • Develop positive relations with sponsors, clients, and monitors as required
  • Participate in GMC appraisals/Revalidation scheme

Skills/qualifications and experience

  • Fully qualified, GMC registered Physician with a licence to practice
  • Right to work in the UK
  • At least 5 years experience as a doctor post-graduation
  • At least 2 years experience in the UK since GMC registration
  • Previous experience as a Consultant or Specialist registrar will be an advantage especially if it is in Dermatology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, or Respiratory Medicine
  • Previous research experience will be an advantage
  • Previous clinical trials experience in a commercial company as Investigator will be an advantage
