We are looking for a Band 4 Research Practitioner who is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is capable of contributing to the development of research within the Eye Research Team.
The Team facilitates and supports the delivery of research within Ophthalmology services, enabling patients to access innovative research opportunities and contributing to the advancement of eye care. The Research Practitioner will support the delivery of clinical research studies by undertaking a range of clinical and research-related activities, including venipuncture, recording vital signs, collecting and accurately documenting study data, administering and supporting the completion of patient questionnaires, and coordinating and planning participant study visits. The post holder will work closely with investigators, research nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure studies are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements. Full training and support will be provided to develop specialist skills in ophthalmology assessments, imaging techniques and study-specific procedures.

Prior clinical research experience is not essential, but advantageous. Ideally, you will have experience of the NHS and working within a clinical or patient facing environment.
