Clinical Safety Officer

Hybrid Working | 4 days per Week | £62,000 FTE

About CLEO Systems

CLEO Systems is a mission-driven, high-performing organisation where our people can thrive, grow, and do their best work.

We provide highly capable, innovative, and integrated software solutions across Integrated Urgent Care, and every role at CLEO Systems contributes to our purpose: simplifying connected care.

Our mission, Clinical Excellence Online (CLEO), is centred on using technology to improve access to healthcare, reduce pressure on services, and put patients first. Supporting over 6 million patients, we work closely with the NHS to deliver impactful solutions across urgent care, primary care, community services and beyond.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Safety Officer to join our growing healthcare software business.

Working as part of a dynamic team of clinical and non-clinical professionals, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of digital clinical safety across CLEO Systems. You will provide expert leadership, guidance and support in relation to clinical safety standards, risk management and governance, ensuring our digital solutions are safe, effective and compliant.

A key focus of this role will be supporting our Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) solutions, conducting clinical safety reviews, and providing approval for the implementation of new and upgraded digital solutions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee digital clinical safety activities across CLEO Systems.
  • Provide specialist expertise in ePMA solutions and clinical safety governance.
  • Develop, maintain and review clinical safety documentation, including hazard logs and clinical safety cases.
  • Assess clinical risks associated with digital healthcare solutions and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of digital systems and services.
  • Collaborate with NHS stakeholders, customers and internal teams to ensure safe and effective deployment of solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant clinical safety standards and best practice guidance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
