Clinical Sales Specialist
Salary: £55k-£60k per annum + car allowance + bonus + pension
Territory: Northern England (above Birmingham); Northern Ireland may be added over time.
Working Pattern: Home/field-based with extensive travel across the territory.
My client is seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist to build, expand and drive new hospital business across Northern England. This is a key growth role focussing on selling and supporting their renal and acute blood purification portfolio, including CRRT platforms, haemodialysis products and their associated recurring consumables.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of strong clinical credibility in renal/critical care with a proven, target driven track record in hospital sales and new business development.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Territory Development
- Proactively identify, target and win new hospital accounts to grow the Northern England territory
- Manage the complete sales cycle for both capital equipment and high volume recurring consumables
- Build strong account plans, navigate complex NHS buying processes, and manage hospital stakeholders
- Overcome objections, negotiate contracts, close sales, and deliver against measurable performance targets
- Retain and expand existing customer relationships while establishing new commercial partnerships

Clinical Support & Education
- Serve as the primary clinical commercial interface between the business and hospital teams
- Deliver expert, hands on clinical training and ongoing education to nurses, clinicians, and end users in acute settings
- Engage in clinical discussions regarding renal therapy, CRRT and acute blood purification needs
- Cultivate internal product champions to support ongoing therapy adoption and long term customer success
Team & Service Support
- Participate in a shared customer service on call rota alongside the broader technical and office teams (supported by a dedicated pager allowance)
- Undertake comprehensive initial training delivered by senior clinical specialist colleagues
Essential Requirements
Clinical Background
- Previous hands on clinical experience in renal, haemodialysis, or critical care/ICU environments, with direct CRRT knowledge and training. (Active NMC registration is not required provided clinical competency is clearly demonstrated)

Hospital Sales
- Proven experience selling medical devices or therapies directly into hospital environments, with a strong grasp of purchasing pathways
- Demonstrated ability to proactively open doors, develop new accounts and expand a territory rather than just managing existing relationships
Educational Ability
- Confident in presenting, training and supporting hospital clinicians and nursing staff on complex equipment and therapies
Location & Travel
- Based anywhere in Northern England (above Birmingham) with a willingness to undertake frequent field travel and occasional travel to the HQ (based in the South)
Typical Backgrounds That We Are Looking For
- Experience transitioning from a Clinical/Nursing role (Renal, ICU, CRRT) into Commercial Territory Management or Clinical Sales
