Job Title
Clinical Sales Specialist - Critical Care (North UK)
Field-based, covering Northern England, and Ireland (as required)
Job Purpose
The Clinical Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth across a portfolio of critical care products while providing expert clinical support, education, and training to healthcare professionals. This hybrid role combines commercial sales responsibilities with clinical expertise, helping customers optimize patient outcomes through effective product implementation and ongoing product education.
The successful candidate will work closely with Intensive Care Units (ICU), High Dependency Units (HDU), Operating Theatres, Emergency Departments, and other critical care settings to support product adoption, clinical best practice, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve and exceed regional sales targets for the critical care product portfolio.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans to identify growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Conduct product evaluations and support conversion opportunities.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline through effective territory management.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and value-based selling presentations.
- Participate in regional and national conferences, exhibitions, and educational events.

Clinical Training & Education
- Provide clinical expertise and product training to healthcare professionals.
- Deliver structured educational programmes to support product implementation.
- Conduct bedside support and in-service training sessions.
- Support customers during product trials, launches, and evaluations.
- Ensure healthcare professionals are trained and competent in the safe and effective use of products.
- Develop trusted relationships as a clinical resource within customer accounts.
- Assist with the development of training materials and educational content.
- Support clinical studies, audits, and outcome-based initiatives where appropriate.
Customer Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for clinical and product-related enquiries.
- Support customers with troubleshooting and product optimization.
- Gather customer feedback and communicate market intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive account management.

Required Experience
- Commercial experience within MedTech (ideally critical care/Renal).
- Experience working within an NHS or private hospital environment.
- Strong presentation and training skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Northern UK region.
Desirable
- Previous medical device sales experience.
- Experience supporting critical care, respiratory, haemodynamic monitoring, infusion, ventilation, or related technologies.
- Experience delivering clinical education programmes.
- Understanding of NHS procurement processes and tender activity.
