Clinical Service Manager Medicine

We are seeking candidates who will bring the right blend of skills and experience necessary to lead and develop a team of dedicated professionals. Most importantly you will bring a fresh, forward-thinking and collaborative approach to the role which is central to the continued improvement of the Acute Services we deliver.
Key Responsibilities
- The Clinical Service Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively with the General Manager for the delivery of Medicine services within South Sector and will be accountable for the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service.
- The role is vital for both NHSGGC and the South Sector in delivery of its aims and aspirations for Better Care, Better Health, Better Workplace and Better Value.
- You will report to the General Manager and have responsibility for ensuring there is a clear focus on the delivery of the range of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services required to meet local and national targets.
- The Clinical Service Manager will along with the General Manager take forward the development of the Sector’s care for patients under a range of General Medical specialties, including: Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine and Rheumatology.

Required Skills and Experience
- With strong influencing and leadership qualities you will require to evidence significant experience at a senior level in operational management in a healthcare or equivalent, complex environment and will have the ability to inspire confidence and respect to lead and deliver in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.
- Key to the success of these roles will be the ability to contribute to the development of a strong, patient-focused culture which encourages initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communication.
