About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cancer nurse to take on this specialist nursing role. You will primarily work within the Rigby Unit at Stratford Hospital although due to service demand there may be cross-site cover required for Aylesford Unit, Warwick Hospital also.

The post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care. You will work within the day case, out patient and inpatient settings. As an experienced haematology or oncology nurse, you will be required to develop your knowledge and skills to undertake nurse-led assessment and nurse-led clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a committed team of professionals and closely with the Nurse Consultant – Cancer Services, the Advanced Nurse Practitioners and other Specialist Practitioners within the team.
  • Provide friendly and supportive work environment.
  • Participate in clinical supervision.

Working Hours

  • Primarily from Monday to Friday.
  • May also include evenings and Bank Holidays.
  • Flexible team working is essential to meet our service needs.

Location

  • Primarily at the Rigby Unit.
  • Based within the Chemotherapy Suite.
