Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and dynamic Clinical Site Manager to play a pivotal role in the operational and clinical management of Wexham Park Hospital. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the safe and appropriate placement of emergency and elective patients, in close collaboration with medical teams and Senior Nursing staff.

A key focus of the role will be to proactively drive patient flow and maximize available capacity across Wexham Park Hospital. You will work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to identify opportunities to improve flow, challenge barriers to capacity, and ensure that inpatient pathways are effective and responsive to demand. You will also contribute to reviewing and developing pathways to ensure the right patient is cared for in the right clinical environment and on the right ward, supporting safe, effective, and timely patient care.

This role would suit a confident and motivated clinical leader who is able to work dynamically in a fast-paced environment, influence across professional boundaries, and identify opportunities to improve patient flow, capacity, and the overall patient journey.

Please ensure you have permission from your line manager before applying for the secondment.

Main Duties of the Job

  • To plan, coordinate, and manage the utilization of inpatient beds to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of emergency and elective admissions.
  • Lead on the development and optimization of admission pathways, ensuring patients are admitted safely, promptly, and to the appropriate clinical area.
  • Work collaboratively across organizational, clinical, and departmental boundaries to identify admission and capacity pressures, remove bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support the Trust in achieving national performance standards and targets relating to emergency and elective access, patient flow, and timely admission.
  • Develop, monitor, and review local performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of Patient Access and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key operational troubleshooter throughout the patient pathway, working with clinical and operational teams to resolve issues, improve flow, and enhance the patient experience.
  • Work closely with hospital teams to ensure access, capacity, and patient flow processes are effective, timely, and coordinated.
  • Provide effective day-to-day and out-of-hours operational management of the hospital site, responding to emerging pressures, coordinating resources, and supporting safe and efficient service delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
