Clinical Skills Tutor
Are you passionate about developing the next generation of doctors and healthcare professionals? Join our Clinical Skills Education Team in this established role supporting undergraduate medical education within a busy teaching Trust.
As a Clinical Skills Tutor, you will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical skills teaching for medical students, working with Clinical Education colleagues and the University of Manchester. You will provide innovative, engaging learning experiences that prepare students for safe and effective clinical practice, including clinical skills teaching, simulation, assessment support and educational guidance across a range of disciplines.
We are seeking an enthusiastic healthcare professional with excellent communication and organisational skills and a passion for developing others. Previous teaching experience is desirable, but informal teaching, coaching or mentoring gained through clinical practice is valued. We will support your educational development within a welcoming and experienced team.

Role Responsibilities
As a Clinical Skills Tutor, you will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical skills education for undergraduate medical students, working with the Clinical Education Team and University of Manchester to develop students’ knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours for safe clinical practice.

The role includes clinical skills teaching, simulation and assessment, including core procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation and urinary catheterisation. You will maintain clinical competence to ensure teaching is current, evidence-based and high quality.
We seek an enthusiastic, approachable healthcare professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for developing others. You will be a positive role model, promote professionalism and compassionate care, and create an inclusive learning environment adapted to different levels of experience and confidence.
As part of a small, supportive team, you will work flexibly with colleagues throughout the academic year. Strong teamwork, organisation and adaptability are essential, including flexibility to support examinations and assessments, which may require changes to planned schedules.
Formal teaching experience is desirable but not essential; teaching, coaching or mentoring gained through clinical practice is valued. We will support your professional development and growth as an educator.
