Fixed term for 12 months

Salary: £49,387 - £56,515 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in MSK Outpatients to join our team at George Eliot Hospital as part of the Outpatient Therapy team. A particular interest in spinal conditions is essential.

Our friendly department is full of opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic physiotherapist who wishes to progress specialist clinical expertise and leadership skills within an MSK outpatients setting. This post would be based within our Hospital site and would include a wide variety of patient presentations with referrals from Consultant clinics, GP practices and multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for either an experienced Band 6 or a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our supportive team.

  • Performing advanced assessment and clinical reasoning for patients with diverse presentations and complex musculoskeletal conditions
  • Develop and deliver an individualised management/treatment programme.
  • Following assessment, the post holder will be responsible for making therapeutic and/or clinical diagnoses and treating their own caseload of specialised and complex patients/clients and maintaining associated records
  • While day-to-day running of the team will be performed primarily by the team leader, the post-holder may be required to deputise and be responsible for this when necessary
  • Clinical leadership of the MSK Outpatients team will require the post holder to display leadership and management skills where appropriate for this role
  • The post holder will supervise and support the work of other junior staff and support workers
  • The post holder will assist the MSK Team Leads in contributing to the planning, coordination, development and evaluation of the service
  • Together with other senior staff, you will act as a resource of specialist advice to the rest of the therapy service and other professions.
  • Develop your clinical and leadership skills whilst working with a diverse caseloads.
