Salary: Up to £35.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Specialist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapist department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • You provide specialist, evidence-based Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with a broad range of Women’s and Men’s Health conditions.
  • Within Women’s Health, you assess and manage patients with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle and lower back pain, support antenatal exercise and preparation for birth, and provide postnatal rehabilitation including diastasis recti management.
  • You provide specialist assessment and rehabilitation for pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions, including pelvic girdle and lower back pain.
  • You provide specialist rehabilitation for men before and/or following relevant prostate, urological and colorectal surgery.
  • You act as a specialist clinical resource for Women’s and Men’s Health Physiotherapy, supporting high standards and consistency of clinical practice.
  • You work collaboratively with relevant medical, nursing and allied health professionals, which may include urogynaecologists, gynaecologists, obstetricians, urologists, colorectal surgeons, continence specialists and other Physiotherapists.
  • You provide specialist advice, education and support to Physiotherapists, students and other healthcare professionals.
  • You maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records in accordance with HCPC, CSP and Circle Health Group requirements.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Degree or equivalent recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant post-registration Physiotherapy experience, with substantial specialist experience in Women’s Health, Men’s Health and/or pelvic health rehabilitation.
  • Recognised postgraduate training relevant to Women’s and Men’s Health, pelvic health and/or continence Physiotherapy.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment skills within the speciality.
  • Experience independently managing a complex specialist caseload.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant specialist assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Experience contributing to service development, clinical education, supervision or quality improvement.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, consent and professional responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
