Clinical Support Secretary Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a friendly, motivated and reliable individual to take on the role of Clinical Support Secretary to the Community Mental Health Team in the Mental Health Learning Disabilities Team in West Fife.
Role Responsibilities
The Support Secretary will be responsible for delivering robust and efficient administration support to the developing Learning Disabilities Multi Disciplinary Clinical teams and associates.
- Directly support the Community Mental Health Team including the medical secretaries, team lead, nurses, and medical staff based at Lynebank Hospital.
- Support the wider administration team ensuring delivery of essential digital services for patient contact including NHS Near Me and Community Mental Health Team Duty Line System.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Educated to equivalent of Standard Grade or have relevant experience.
- Good communication, excellent organisation, numerical and listening skills are essential.
- Ability to work as a member of a team or on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate with excellent typing skills.
- Previous secretarial experience is essential, including audio typing/digital dictation.
- Knowledge and experience of Patient Administration Systems would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Additional Information
- You will be expected to attend in-house training opportunities for personal development and ongoing learning.
- Flexibility to provide cover for holidays/illness may be required.
- You will be required, often at short notice, to travel to other sites from Dunfermline to Cupar to support the wider CMHT sectors across Fife.

Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity
Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager. The secondment policy can be found here. If you do not have approval for a secondment from your current line manager, you will not be able to progress your application for a fixed term post. External applicants, with continuous NHS Service, must also have in place a secondment agreement, from their existing board to apply for this post.
Applications on a secondment basis will be considered providing you have prior agreement from your current line manager.
