Sometimes the best people for this role are the ones who care the most.
We're looking for Clinical Support Workers to join our Forensic Mental Health inpatient ward in Wakefield. These are full-time roles (37.5 hours per week), working with adults who need support during a difficult time in their lives.
This job is about being present, listening, and helping people feel safe, respected, and supported in their recovery. You'll work alongside nurses, doctors, occupational therapists and social workers, and you'll never be expected to do this alone.
What We Really Value Is:

- A willingness to learn and be part of a team
We'll support you with a local induction and full mandatory training when you start.
Important To Know:

Previous applicants: Please note that if you have applied for this role and been unsuccessful within the last six months, we ask that you do not reapply at this time. Any application received from candidates who have been unsuccessful within the previous six months will be screened as unsuccessful.
Qualifications: Candidates must be able to evidence a relevant accredited Level 2 or Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent). We are aware of an increase in online short-course certifications being presented as equivalent to NVQ Level 2/3; however, these courses often lack the required depth, breadth, and clinical competency standards of a formally accredited qualification and will not be accepted.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
