Full Time Clinical Support Worker
Ward 27 is a 29-bedded Acute Medical Ward for Care of the Elderly patients.
A Clinical Support Worker (CSW) is responsible for providing healthcare to patients and supporting with clinical duties under the supervision of Registered Nurses, doctors, and other registered healthcare professionals.
Their role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients during their hospital admission, ensuring they receive high-quality care.

- Provide and support patients as necessary with delivering both personal and clinical care activities relevant to training.
- Maintain accurate records of the patient’s care, documenting as appropriate on the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner) in line with Trust, professional, and departmental guidelines.
- Observe patients and report any changes to a Registered professional for review.
- Report any abnormal findings directly to the registered professional in charge or doctor.
- Undertake a range of basic housekeeping, stock control, and administrative duties within the clinical environment.
- Carry out 1:1 with patients who require enhanced observations, are at a high risk of falls, or require close monitoring.
- Actively engage with patients through positive interaction such as conversations and games.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
